Sunlight-loving Freya the walrus sinking boats in Norway

A 1,500-pound walrus named Freya has sunk numerous ships, causing mayhem in Oslo, Norway, this summer months.

The boat-sinking behemoth has develop into a social media star, with shots and movies of her antics spreading across Twitter. She's also a sensation amid community residents and tourists, with the exception of some boat homeowners.

In her effort and hard work to find new spots to lounge, Freya has sunk numerous boats and inflatables below her bodyweight, according to Euronews, which mentioned the walrus was beforehand spotted in Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, and Scotland. Boats with a small stern and no massive engine are Freya's chosen lounging places.

The Norwegian govt has come to be mindful of Freya and has long gone out of its way to warn pissed off people versus harming her. On July 20, the Norwegian Directorate of Fisheries posted a push launch warning locals, "Keep your length from the walrus!"

After complaints from locals, authorities are planning to lure the walrus on to a floating dock, from which she can be taken to a further household along the coast, in accordance to NBC News.
