WATCH: Noem says states 'get involved on foreign policy issues' because Biden is 'failing'

Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD) said she and several other governors must be “aggressive” in dealing with foreign policy because “our federal government and president are failing.”

Noem was the first governor to ban TikTok from state devices and servers when she did so in South Dakota, prompting more than 30 other states to do the same. This week, the Republican governor also signed a bill into law that bars state and local governments from contracting with "evil foreign governments."

“I hope other states will follow that as well,” Noem told Hannity. “Listen, the only reason [states] feel we have to be so aggressive, is because our federal government and president are failing. They are endangering the American people, they are weak. And so, governors have a responsibility, a duty, to protect our people. That’s why you see us getting so engaged on foreign policy issues.”

Noem praised the recent hearings held in Congress over security and privacy risks presented by TikTok.

“It’s been great to see them hold hearings finally and to be talking about this important issue,” Noem said. “Recognize that Chinese Communist Party will put its people through hell in order to keep them in bondage. I hope the American people are willing to be just a little bit inconvenienced to protect their freedom — because that’s what this is about.”

“It’s about giving up an app to not allow our enemies to spy on us and manipulate our children and to use algorithms to influence us,” the South Dakota governor added. “It’s incredibly important that we take action like this. I’m so grateful other states are taking action and the federal government, as well.”

Noem noted that South Dakota is considering legislation she brought forth that would ban China from buying land in her state.

When asked about whether her actions to stand for such foreign policy concerns were indicative of any consideration toward a 2024 bid for the White House, Noem side-stepped the question.

“I am considering going to bed in a few hours when I get done with all my work today,” Noem said, before adding that she wants “somebody who recognizes the responsibility of the job, how important it is right now to do it for the right reasons.”

“We need a different president than the one we’ve got,” Noem said. “I think we’ve got to get the right leader in this country so we all get the chance to wake up safe tomorrow morning.”

Brothers Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo said they pretended to attack Empire star Jussie Smollett but never expected the phony homophobic hate crime to gain the widespread attention that it has.

“I want to apologize to everyone in the audience, the country, and anyone who might have been affected by this directly. When we were asked to partake in this, we really didn’t foresee the ramifications of what something like this could do to the country,” Olabinjo told Hannity. “We allowed our ambition to cloud our judgment.”

JUSSIE SMOLLETT APPEALS HATE CRIME HOAX CONVICTION

Olabinjo added that they agreed to participate because Smollett promised to help further their careers.

“Jussie was in a position where he could help us because, in the acting world, it’s who you know, not what you know,” Abimbola said. “So us helping him out would have helped us.”

Smollett is maintaining his innocence concerning lies made to police over the staged hate crime in 2019, saying, “If I had done this, I’d be a piece of s***.”

The disgraced actor was released in March 2022 on bond after spending only six of his original 150-day sentence in jail pending an appeal of his guilty verdict.

Earlier this month, Smollett filed his appeal, alleging that the “prosecutorial misconduct” in his case was “clear and egregious.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene defends comment calling for a 'national divorce': 'Necessary reality'

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) defended her calls for a "national divorce" this week, saying she wasn't calling for a civil war but is concerned that's the direction the country is headed.

Greene continued her argument for a peaceful divorce while speaking on WHD News Channel's Hannity on Tuesday.

"That’s the problem and where we are today. In my life and my world, all of my friends are regular Americans; everyone I talked to is sick and tired of being bullied by the Left and disrespected by the Left," she said. "Our idea, our policies, our ways of life have become so far apart that’s coming to that point, the last thing I ever want to see in America is a civil war. No one wants that. At least everyone that I know would never want that. It's going that direction, we have to do something about it."

The Georgia congresswoman listed off policies, including environmental social governance and gender ideology, as key reasons for her proposal to shrink the influence of the national government. When pressed on whether she violated her constitutional oath by calling for a so-called "divorce," she said she was only calling for a smaller federal government.

"This isn't ending our union. This is shrinking the federal government, which we need to stop our spending," she said. "Our spending is out of control. We can abolish departments and different parts of our federal government and give states more power and control to conduct their affairs and their laws that fit the people that live in those states. This is more respectful towards all Americans, and it could end the fighting, and hopefully, we can respect each other once again."

When asked if she believed it would happen, Greene said it is "something we should work towards" and that it was "the vision" the founding fathers wanted for the country.

Greene called for a "national divorce" on Monday, saying that the country should "separate by red states and blue states and shrink the federal government." She made the comments shortly after it was announced President Joe Biden was in Kyiv, Ukraine, on an unannounced visit, where he promised more funding to the eastern European country in its war against Russia.

"People are absolutely fed up and disgusted with left-wing insanity and disaster America Last policies. National divorce is not civil war, but Biden and the neocons are leading us into WW3 while forcing corporate ESG and gender confusion on our kids," Greene said in a tweet Monday.

Dr. Ben Carson, who served as the secretary of Housing and Urban Development under the Trump administration, says political correctness has only made things “worse” while blasting recent changes to Christmas classics.

“The first time I spoke at the National Prayer Breakfast in 1997 about the fact that political correctness, if we continued along that pathway, was going to destroy our nation," Carson said on a special edition of WHD News's Hannity. “It has continued to get worse.”

“Now it's morphed into wokeness,” he told guest host Tammy Bruce.

Bruce was referencing a church in the United Kingdom that shared a more modern take on the classic Christmas hymn, “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.”

“God rest you queer and questioning, your anxious hearts be still. God rest you also, women, who by men have been erased. Through history ignored and scorned, defiled and displaced,” the new lyrics from All Saints Church in Loughborough, England, read, which Bruce called left-wing “woke madness.”

When asked for his take, Carson talked about the United States, where he said it has gotten so bad that students on college campuses are now “afraid to express themselves,” especially conservatives.

“College is supposed to be a place where you explore and you have an opportunity to discuss certain things so that you can determine which way you're going. And basically, what's happening is people are being shut down,” the heart surgeon told the host.

"And it doesn't have to be the government that shuts down your freedom of speech, you know. Big Tech, social media, college professors can shut down your speech. And if the government is compliant with that, it's the same as if they're doing it. And we, the American people, should be outraged about that," Carson said.

From changes in the Marines being required to stop calling commanding officers "sir" and "ma’am" to avoid the risk of “misgendering” them to even Carson’s name being removed from a school in Detroit for his views, the former Trump official said America's freedoms are being diminished.

Quoting from the Declaration of Independence that “our freedoms come from God,” Carson said that with each “woke” change, society is “allowing them to be taken away from us.”

“We also have a government that is insinuating itself into every aspect of our lives. You know, liberty and community was about what the people could do, not what the government could do,” he said, adding that America is dynamic and innovative because of the country's diversity.

“If everybody is thinking the same way and saying the same things, where's that out-of-the-box thinking that's going to allow us to continue to be that beacon?”
