DC mayor's business inquiry finds previous main of team sexually harassed second lady

The former main of employees to Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser sexually harassed a female a number of situations in 2020, according to an inside report.

The Mayor's Workplace of Lawful Counsel stated it substantiated two allegations produced in opposition to John Falcicchio, the former main of workers and deputy mayor to Bowser, in a report introduced on Monday. The initial substantiated assert is that Falcicchio allegedly "manufactured unwelcome, bodily, sexual improvements" toward a lady in his apartment in 4 individual incidents in 2020. A fifth incident where there was an "undesirable sexual advance" at a separate locale was pointed out.

The other substantiated assert is that in 2020, Falcicchio allegedly sent the nameless woman employee "flirtatious messages and requested her personalized queries about her intimate life to manipulate her into emotion snug with him."

The report concludes Falcicchio's actions "more likely than not constituted sexual harassment as described" and violated the plan of the D.C. mayor's office.

"At the summary of the investigation, the SHO produced recommendations to the Mayor based on her conclusions. These recommendations targeted on enhancing the District’s procedures and procedures to assure the District normally takes proactive ways to stop sexual harassment and to inspire reporting so that future challenges could be resolved in a well timed and proper way," the report concluded.

A report from the similar place of work in June substantiated two statements of sexual harassment by Falcicchio from a further female staff of the D.C. federal government.

Just after Falcicchio's exited, Lindsey Parker was employed as the new main of workers to the mayor, and Keith Anderson was employed to provide as interim deputy mayor.

A 'huge' Marvel movie will be filmed in Downtown D.C. in June

Washington, D.C.'s Office Cable Television, Film, Music, and Entertainment said Thursday that residents will get to see the filming of a Marvel movie this summer.

The announcement of the upcoming film coming to our nation's capital was made at Mayor Muriel Bowser's Ninth Annual March Madness press conference and LaToya Foster, the newly appointed director of OCTFME, shared the news about the upcoming filming.

"D.C. is a major hub for film, television, and entertainment productions and we are just getting started," Foster said.

“We have Marvel coming to Washington, D.C.," she announced.

Foster added, "I can’t give you too much about that but let me tell you, we’re going to have a huge Marvel film taking place right in downtown that you won’t want to miss out on.”

When Foster displayed a slide of the upcoming projects coming to D.C., it noted that a "Marvel Feature Film" by Marvel Studios is being filmed in June this year.

The mayor's office did not provide further information about the dates of the filming, actors or film plot for Marvel fans.

Former acting Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman to retire in February: Report

Capitol Police Assistant Chief Yogananda Pittman will retire from the force next February, according to multiple reports.

Following the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, Pittman was briefly elevated to acting Capitol Police chief, filling a void left by the abrupt departure of Steven Sund in the aftermath. She held that role from Jan. 8, 2021, to July 22, 2021, when J. Thomas Manger was appointed to the post. She will leave the Capitol Police on Feb. 1, 2023, Just the News reported.

"We thank her for her 22 years of service and her committed to the United States Capitol Police and our critical mission," Manger said in an internal announcement, per the report.

From 2019 until assuming the acting police chief gig, Pittman served as the assistant chief of Protective and Intelligence Operations for Capitol Police. In spite of hefty criticism over the security failure that enabled the storming of the Capitol on Jan. 6, Pittman returned to that post after Manger became chief, CNN reported.

Her lengthy tenure at the force began in 2001. She was the first black woman to head the Capitol Police, according to Morgan State University.

In the time since the riot, Congress and the Capitol Police have enacted a slew of reforms intended to forestall any future large-scale breach of the Capitol.
