The Los Angeles Angels have fired manager Joe Maddon as the group is in the midst of a 12-activity dropping streak, the workforce declared on Tuesday. 

3rd-base mentor Phil Nevin has been named interim supervisor.

The Angels received off to a warm start to the year – surging to a 24-13 document – but Los Angeles has now missing 13 of its final 16 game titles, dropping to 27-29 on the year and sitting down 8.5 games again of the first-place Houston Astros. 

Maddon was in the 3rd and ultimate 12 months of his contract with the Angels, and was hoping to lead Los Angeles to its 1st playoff visual appeal since the 2014 year. Maddon leaves the Angels with a document of 130-148.
