John Hinckley received an unconditional launch Wednesday, 41 years after he shot President Ronald Reagan.

Hinckley, 67, attempted to assassinate Reagan in 1981. U.S. District Judge Paul Friedman had beforehand declared Hinckley would be produced on June 15. Hinckley's attorney Barry Levine verified the total launch in an email to WHD News Electronic.

"If he hadn’t attempted to kill a president he would have been produced unconditionally a long time back," Choose Friedman said at the time.

In addition to Reagan, Hinckley shot then-White Household push secretary James Brady, as properly as a Magic formula Company agent and a Washington police officer. Hinckley has now established his sights on a songs job. He is scheduled to maintain a concert in Brooklyn on July 8.

"A large thank you to absolutely everyone who served me get my unconditional release," Hinckley wrote June 1. "What a prolonged odd journey it has been. Now it really is time to rock and roll."
