Jelena Dokic, a former top-rated Australian tennis player who completed in the semifinals of the 2000 Wimbledon match, courageously opened up about her struggles with mental overall health Monday. 

Dokic, who retired in 2014, opened up on Instagram about her struggles and uncovered she had suicidal feelings in April. She wrote in an Instagram publish she practically "jumped off my 26th floor balcony and took my have existence."

"Will never ignore the working day," she started. "Everything is blurry. Almost everything is dark. No tone, no picture, absolutely nothing makes sense…..just tears, disappointment, melancholy, panic and ache. The past 6 months have been hard. It is been continual crying almost everywhere. From hiding in the toilet when at do the job to wipe absent my tears so that nobody sees it to the unstoppable crying at dwelling in just my four partitions has been unbearable. Regular thoughts of disappointment and soreness are just not going absent and my life has been shattered. I blame myself, I never imagine I am deserving of loving and I am scared."
