A 3-year-aged Boston-place boy was discovered dead a working day after he went missing from his babysitter's house amid a huge lookup hard work, authorities explained Wednesday. 

Harry Kkonde was found just right after 1 p.m. Wednesday close to a pond in the place of Rollie’s Farm in Lowell, Massachusetts, officers claimed. It was not obvious how he arrived at the pond, which is situated 650 ft from where he went missing, authorities stated.

"We do not know exactly where he was from the time he was missing right up until he got to pond," Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan instructed reporters. "This is each parent's worst nightmare, a little one who disappears."

"This is clearly not the final result that any person around these numerous hours of lookup would have expected or required," she added.

The boy was uncovered by condition law enforcement divers in about five toes of water, Ryan claimed. There was no external trauma and he was completely clothed, she added. 

The pond had been searched shortly just after the boy was claimed lacking and "lots of, a lot of destinations have been searched and re-searched," Ryan mentioned. Harry was viewed by a neighbor outside the house at some position in advance of he went missing, Ryan explained. 

"And at some place then the neighbor noticed he wasn't there and built inquiries as to where by he experienced gone," she mentioned. 

On Wednesday afternoon, law enforcement officers started off gathering at a farm just at the rear of the neighborhood where by the kid disappeared. An underwater restoration team was operating at that site and yellow criminal offense tape had been place up.

About 200 1st responders scoured the space around in which the boy was final found when he went lacking sometime involving 9:15 and 9:30 a.m. In addition, the FBI, state troopers, police officers and firefighters took portion in the lookup.
