Jessica Cisneros declared Monday she is requesting a recount in her heated election in opposition to Rep. Henry Cuellar. Cisneros completed just 281 votes quick of Cuellar, according to the Texas Tribune.

Ruben Ramirez, a prospect in yet another South Texas congressional race, introduced his request for a recount the similar working day as Cisneros. Ramirez concluded just 30 votes quick of opponent Michelle Vallejo.

In spite of acknowledging Cisneros' lawful right to request a recount, Cuellar has flatly dismissed her attempts to contest the consequence of the election.
