Department of Homeland Safety Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas appeared to put some of the blame on migrants for building the "perilous journey" to the United States immediately after at the very least 53 migrants were being located useless in an abandoned tractor-trailer on the outskirts of San Antonio on Monday.

"We have stated continuously and we carry on to warn persons not to acquire the risky journey," Mayorkas included.

Mayorkas also explained that in these situations, migrants obtain "false information and facts from smugglers" that places their lives in danger.

The remarks on Sunday appear immediately after Texas Gov. Greg Abbott lashed out at President Biden, saying that "all those fatalities" are on him.

Abbott said in a June 27 tweet that "These deaths are on Biden."

"At Least 42 People today Uncovered Useless Inside of Truck Carrying Migrants In Texas. These fatalities are on Biden. They are a end result of his fatal open up border policies. They demonstrate the lethal consequences of his refusal to implement the law," Abbott reported.

In all, four people have been billed in link with the fatal incident. Two individuals, Juan Francisco D’Luna-Bilbao and Juan Claudio D’Luna-Mendez, were both billed as illegal immigrants in possession of firearms. At minimum just one of people charged is an American citizen.
