A teenager is earning high praise immediately after leaping into a river and rescuing a few women and a law enforcement officer.

Corion Evans, 16, jumped into the Pascagoula River in Mississippi previous week to support preserve 3 teenage girls as their motor vehicle sank. In the course of action, he also aided a law enforcement officer who commenced to battle through the rescue.

The girls’ car drove off the Interstate 10 boat start into the river, about 20 feet from shore.

The Moss Issue Police Division praised Evans for his heroic attempts in a statement.

“The police department and I commend Mr. Evans’s bravery and selflessness he exhibited by jeopardizing his own security to assistance folks in threat,” the assertion claimed. “If Mr. Evans experienced not assisted, it could have maybe turned out tragically in its place of all occupants rescued safely.”

Mercer and the 3 women have been taken to the medical center and are stated to be recovering.
