A commercial flight from London to Los Angeles Tuesday was pressured to divert from its meant flight path due to an unruly passenger, officers reported.

Virgin Atlantic flight 141 took off from London Heathrow (LHR) but was forced to land prior to reaching its anticipated destination of Los Angeles Worldwide Airport (LAX) following the passenger’s disturbance, a Virgin Atlantic spokesperson told WHD News Electronic.

The airplane landed at Salt Lake Metropolis International Airport (SLC), where the disruptive passenger was taken into custody, the spokesperson explained.

The details of the disturbance are not straight away acknowledged.

A Virgin Atlantic spokesperson claimed the airline diverted the flight to guarantee the security of the travellers.

"Because of to a disruptive passenger onboard flight VS141 operating from London Heathrow to Los Angeles on Tuesday 26 July, the aircraft diverted to Salt Lake Metropolis to be met by law enforcement authorities," the spokesperson told WHD News Digital.
