A U.S. midshipman from Texas has died just after falling over a waterfall though researching overseas in Chile, the U.S. Naval Academy introduced Monday.

Midshipman 2nd Class Luke Gabriel Chook, 21, of New Braunfels, Texas, was getting aspect in a semester overseas at Chile’s Arturo Prat Naval Academy when he went climbing with a college student from the school around 11 a.m. Saturday, the academy claimed.

Hen, a junior, reportedly lost his footing around the Salto El Agua waterfall in Placilla, found in the Valparaíso region of Chile, and fell over the falls, academy officers claimed.

Authorities pulled Bird’s human body from a lagoon of the waterfall all over 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
