Previous President Donald Trump went following Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., over social media for expressing skepticism about Republicans' likelihood of retaking congressional majorities in the November midterms.

In a put up on Truth Social, Trump termed the Senate minority leader a "damaged down political hack" and challenged his celebration loyalty.

"Why do Republicans Senators enable a damaged down hack politician, Mitch McConnell, to overtly disparage really hard working Republican candidates for the United States Senate," Trump questioned.
