A suspected gunman reportedly established fire to quite a few residences in Houston early Sunday and started capturing people today as they escaped the flames, killing three ahead of law enforcement shot and killed the shooter, authorities claimed.

Firefighters and police responded just just after 1 a.m. to 8020 Dunlap Road, which Houston Police Main Troy Finner described as a residence that rents out multiple rooms.

Finner reported the suspect, determined as a Black male in his 40s who was armed with a shotgun, established fireplace to the residences and waited for the occupants to escape outdoors before firing on them.

"I've found things that I have not noticed right before in 32 years, and it is occurred time and time yet again," Finner explained. "We just request that the neighborhood arrive collectively."

The Houston Hearth Division arrived initially and started battling the flames when the suspect commenced shooting, police claimed. It was unclear no matter whether the suspect was firing on the firefighters, but law enforcement claimed they were being forced to get deal with. 

A Houston law enforcement officer arrived at the scene and spotted the suspect in the parking great deal, exactly where law enforcement explained the officer shot and killed him.

Finner claimed two victims ended up killed at the scene and a 3rd died at a healthcare facility. The victims ended up identified as two White males in their 60s and a Black male in his 40s.

Two other victims were wounded in the taking pictures, but only 1 was hospitalized. Firefighters also pulled at minimum two victims out of the fireplace, according to fireplace officers.

No officers or firefighters were injured in the incident.

Finner claimed that it is however early in the investigation, but that it appears the suspect was a resident and was a short while ago notified of eviction which "may perhaps have been a cause place."
