4 gamers have dropped their lawsuit against the PGA Tour but, in their absence, the rival Saudi-backed LIV Golf circuit has now joined in.

An amended grievance submitted in the U.S. District Court in Northern California on Friday reflected the addition of LIV Golf to the antitrust lawsuit and the withdrawal of 4 names – Pat Perez and Carlos Oritiz, who previously announced their choice to drop the lawsuit, and Abraham Ancer and Jason Kokrak.

Phil Mickelson and 10 other golfers submitted an antitrust lawsuit against the PGA Tour before this month, professing that its indefinite suspensions were aimed at hurting their careers. Three other golfers also submitted for a temporary restraining buy to contend in the FedEx Cup playoffs, arguing that they skilled just before joining LIV Golfing – an injunction that was afterwards denied by a federal judge in California.

Carlos Ortiz shared those very same views when conveying his determination to abandon the lawsuit.

It also claims the tour compelled LIV Golf to delay its launch for 2022 and have a smaller plan in its initially 12 months.

In the amended complaint, LIV Golfing argues that devoid of a favorable ruling, its "capacity to maintain a significant competitive existence in the markets will be wrecked."

The remaining players on the lawsuit are Phil Mickelson, Bryson DeChambeau, Ian Poulter, Peter Uihlein, Matt Jones, Talor Gooch, and Hudson Swafford.
