A third suspect has been arrested in connection with the deadly shooting of an off-responsibility Southern California police officer, authorities reported Friday. 

Gerardo Magallanes, 18, of San Pedro, was arrested Thursday evening, times following Monterey Park Law enforcement Officer Gardiel Solorio, 26, of Bell Gardens, was fatally shot in a parking whole lot of an LA Conditioning gymnasium in Downey, California, the Downey Police Office explained.

Magallanes' function in the capturing is not recognized.

Before this week, authorities arrested Carlos Daniel Delcid, 20, and a 17-year-aged suspect, law enforcement stated.

Los Angeles District Lawyer George Gascón claimed through a push meeting Wednesday that Delcid faces fees of murder, attempted theft, and becoming a felon in possession of a firearm — which could end result in a life sentence.

Solorio joined the Monterey Park Police Office in January, after graduating from the county sheriff's academy on July 22. He started out area schooling on July 25.
