Amazing illustrations or photos have emerged of a significant sinkhole that has opened up in the vicinity of an underground mining operation in northern Chile. 

The sinkhole, which Chilean officers estimate is 105 feet broad and 210 feet deep, initially appeared Saturday. 

"Upon detection, the region was right away isolated and the suitable regulatory authorities notified," Lundin Mining, a Canadian corporation that owns the web site, claimed in a statement. "There has been no impression to staff, tools or infrastructure." 

The enterprise also explained the sinkhole has remained "steady considering that detection."
