Previous President Donald Trump's authorized crew reacted for the 1st time to the closely redacted FBI affidavit unveiled Friday, indicating what was not redacted raises "much more issues than answers."

Trump's legal professionals weighed in on the affidavit in a court docket filing Friday in which they all over again requested that a neutral third get together be appointed to oversee the Division of Justice handling of evidence.

The attorneys cited the unsealing of the redacted affidavit as a rationale for a judge to grant its movement for a "unique grasp."

Major redactions had been predicted, specified the Justice Department's argument about the sensitivity of the scenario. 

Trump's legal team continued, "This presents the deeply troubling prospect that President Trump’s property was raided underneath a pretense of a suspicion that Presidential data have been on his assets – even although the Presidential Documents Act is not a criminally-enforceable statute."

The affidavit refers to virtually 200 files with categorized markings that Trump experienced previously handed more than. It explained that the FBI in May well inspected 15 packing containers of files Trump gave to the National Archives and Information Administration earlier this year, which contained a trove of files marked classified.
