Ukraine’s nuclear electrical power company Energoatom on Friday warned that it thinks Russia is looking to reduce the Zaporizhzhia plant off from the nation’s electric power grid as fears carry on to mount more than a potential nuclear disaster.   

The Zaporizhzhia nuclear electricity plant has been less than Russian control because March, but operations have remained less than the control of Ukrainian officers as shelling and fighting carries on to threaten Europe’s major nuclear plant.

But Russian Deputy Overseas Minister Sergei Ryabkov pushed back again on these calls for Friday and proposed Russia’s profession of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear electric power plant will protect against a "Chernobyl situation."

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ivan Nechaev on Thursday also reportedly named a U.N. proposal to demilitarize the plant "unacceptable."
