A female was arrested by Border Patrol brokers this week immediately after she was caught driving with practically $300,000 worth of medicine in her vehicle in Southern California, such as rainbow-coloured fentanyl pills, which authorities have mentioned are applied to lure younger drug people. 

U.S. Customs and Border Protection did not say precisely when the arrest happened but that the unidentified 42-calendar year-previous female was in a 2014 Toyota Corolla on Condition Route 86 when she arrived on an immigration checkpoint in the agency's El Centro Sector in the vicinity of the U.S.-Mexico border. 

The woman is a long term resident of the United States, authorities claimed. She was referred for a secondary inspection where by a K-9 group alerted agents to the rear of the vehicle.

"Brokers inspected the interior of the vehicle and uncovered a few massive bags containing deals wrapped with tape," a CBP statement mentioned. 

In overall, agents found 11 offers, of which most examined positive for methamphetamine, authorities claimed. In addition, a single package allegedly contained coloured pills laced with fentanyl and a little bag of heroin. 

The driver was arrested, and the motor vehicle was turned in excess of to authorities. Border officials are locating fentanyl-laced medications at alarming costs. 

Fentanyl is mostly introduced throughout the southern border by two drug trafficking organizations, the Sinaloa Cartel and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.
