Authorities in Minnesota claimed officers seized what could be the largest fentanyl products bust in the Midwest when they confiscated 108,943 tablets from a suspected seller. 

Bloomington Law enforcement Chief Booker Hodges mentioned the bust stemmed from an Aug. 31 call to look into a report of fiscal fraud.

"By some really, pretty excellent police function, they ended up getting – this a lot more than probable the major fentanyl pill seizure in the Midwest," he explained to reporters. "This is ample fentanyl to kill a fifth of the overall state's population."

He claimed the doses ended up pressed M-30 pills and supposed to show up as oxycodone doses. All in all, law enforcement say the full excess weight of the fentanyl is 24 lbs ., WHD Minneapolis documented.

The suspect, Marcus Trice, 36, has been federally charged with possession of the synthetic opioid, Hodges explained. He is not from Minnesota, he mentioned. 

Hodges said he witnessed a man die from overdosing on fentanyl before this 7 days. 

"This is killing a lot of individuals in Minnesota," he said. 

Huge portions of fentanyl have been witnessed at the southern border and is more and more getting witnessed by authorities in the course of drug busts.
