General public university school rooms across Seattle are vacant Wednesday on what was meant to be initially day back again for learners as a teachers union strike is now resulting in lost understanding time for the city’s youth. 

The Seattle Schooling Affiliation (SEA) says academics will head to the picket traces this early morning following 95% of the voting associates licensed likely on strike. The union is trying to get pay improves and district guidelines to cap staff workloads. 

"Seattle Community Educational facilities will not begin university as planned on Wednesday, Sept. 7, due to the fact of a planned get the job done stoppage by Seattle Instruction Association," the district explained on its web page.
