Watching the Bundesliga is getting more expensive

Bad news for all football fans! Your existing Sky subscription will be up to 9.99 euros more expensive per month. This is reported by the portal DWDL.de.

For the time being, however, this only applies to existing customers whose initial one-year contract is expiring. According to Sky, five percent of users are affected by an increase of EUR 9.99.

The range depends on the package that was concluded and is between one and just under ten euros. On average, all users have to pay five euros more per month.

The advantage: There is a new monthly cancellation option!

“We are aware that price increases are never welcome. That’s why we’re trying to keep prices as low as possible while still offering the content our customers love and the flexibility to choose the right package,” a Sky spokesman told DWDL.

With new customers, Sky does not initially turn the price screw. Current offers and discounts are retained. These customers only have to adjust to higher prices after one year of contract.

Sky states the reason for the price increase: “We are investing in innovative products, services and high-quality program content. We are adjusting our prices to take account of the increased costs for program licenses and technical infrastructure.”

Apple, Amazon Prime and above all DAZN had recently increased their tariffs considerably.
