The Texas woman accused of stabbing and strangling her 5-yr-previous daughter, allegedly because she "did not want to deal with her any longer," has a psychological overall health heritage that contains schizophrenia, her lawyer reported Tuesday. 

Melissa Towne, 37, cried as she appeared in a Houston court on Tuesday, hrs just after she was ordered held on $15 million bond in relationship with a funds murder charge, The noted. 

She is accused of major her daughter, Nichole, into the woods around Spring Creek Park on Sunday in the Houston neighborhood of Tomball. She allegedly requested her daughter to her knees and slit her throat, law enforcement and officers have explained.

Towne then went on to go over the girl’s head with a trash bag following she commenced resisting and strangled Nichole for 30 to 45 minutes – even while the child screamed, "I have been fantastic," prosecutors and investigators reported.

On Monday, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez revealed that Towne drove to a community hospital’s emergency area, where by workers discovered her daughter within the Jeep SUV "partly wrapped in plastic and mesh bags."

Gonzalez stated Nichole experienced signals of a laceration and "feasible ligature marks" on her neck, and was pronounced useless at the hospital. 

"Towne admitted to killing her daughter," he said. 

Law enforcement reportedly found a knife whilst browsing Towne.

A spokesperson for Kid Protecting Companies told The the company has a heritage with Towne, but would not elaborate. The spokesperson explained Towne has three extra kids who are among the ages of 2 and 18, and who had been staying with family members members.
