US Capitol Law enforcement arrest guy with weapons in his van, was there to 'deliver documents' to SCOTUS: officials

The United States Capitol Law enforcement arrested a Ga male who had weapons in his car or truck parked outside the Supreme Courtroom on Wednesday.

Officers say that USCP officers recognized a little white van illegally parked outside the Supreme Court on Wednesday at about 3:45 p.m. together the 100 block of East Capitol Road. 

The driver of the van informed officers that he "had guns in the van," in accordance to a statement from the USCP. When officers entered the van, they located two handguns and a shotgun, law enforcement mentioned.

Although law enforcement searched the van, the driver, a woman, and an additional male were detained. Tony H. Payne of Tunnel Hill, Ga, 80, was arrested and billed with unregistered firearm, unregistered ammunition, and carrying a pistol without having a license.

In accordance to law enforcement, the folks claimed that they were "in this article to provide paperwork to the U.S. Supreme Court docket."

The other two folks who were being detained weren't arrested.

"Weapons are banned from Capitol Grounds, however dozens of folks are arrested each individual year for violating the legislation," a USCP push release states.
