A new child child was killed following a Russian strike that hit a maternity ward in Ukraine’s southern Zaporizhzhia area, which Moscow claims to have annexed, Ukrainian emergency providers stated Wednesday.

In a single day on Tuesday to Wednesday, “within the metropolis of Vilniansk in Zaporizhzhia area, on account of a rocket assault on the territory of the native hospital, the two-storey constructing of the maternity ward was destroyed,” rescuers stated on social media.

There was “a girl with a new child child in addition to a physician” contained in the constructing, they added.

“Because of the assault, a child born in 2022 died. The girl and physician have been rescued from the rubble,” rescuers stated, including that in keeping with preliminary info there was no one else trapped below the particles.

The emergency providers distributed a video of rescuers working to free a person trapped waist-deep within the rubble of what seems to be the destroyed maternity ward.
