Romanian prosecutors mentioned on Thursday they’ve detained divisive web character and former skilled kickboxer Andrew Tate on suspicion of human trafficking, rape and forming an organised crime group.

Tate, banned from many social media platforms for misogynistic feedback and hate speech, and his brother Tristan will likely be detained for twenty-four hours alongside two Romanian suspects, prosecutors from the anti organised-crime unit mentioned in an announcement after raiding their properties in Bucharest.

The Tate brothers have been beneath felony investigation since April.
