Eight Turkish cops have been wounded on Friday when a bomb exploded in a roadside car as their minibus handed on a freeway within the southeastern province of Diyarbakir, safety sources mentioned.

The blast occurred in a single day some 10 km (6 miles) south of the centre of Diyarbakir, the most important metropolis within the area.

There was no fast declare of duty for the blast.

Kurdish, leftist and Islamist militants have all carried out bomb assaults in Turkey up to now.
