Hungarian signing Zoltán Nagy, who had little playing time, owns Peliita. It came as a surprise to his teammates.

Ice hockey In the background of Heinola’s Peliitto, playing in Mesti, a real-life television sketch is going on, which does not lack special twists.

Etelä Suomen Sanomat (ESS) news on Thursday, that the Hungarian confirmation with little playing time was revealed as the owner of the club Zoltán Nagy.

Nagy has received this season game time in just three games in early November. He has been on the ice for about four and a half minutes per game.

So, the 25-year-old Hungarian seems to have bought himself a place in the team – or to be precise, the whole team. However, the promised money has not been seen.

“This was a two-man project when Nagy and I set out to pull it off. According to Nagy, funding was supposed to come from abroad to save the club, but for one reason or another it hasn’t come”, the squash professional from Gothollowa, who was introduced as the club’s owner in the summer Henrik Mustonen told ESS.

“In the last twists and turns, Nagy has brought out that he wants the power to decide for himself.”

Size The board of Peliitto has resigned after the club’s general meeting held last week. Chairman of the board of Heinolan Peliitat oy Jani Liukkonen told ESS that he parted “in good spirits”. Mustonenka is not involved in the action either.

“I started this job as a paid person and I have put my time, my image and my heart into the game. Now the question mark is how to value that time spent,” Mustonen told ESS.

The ownership patterns of the blankets have come as a surprise to the team’s players. Instead, the coaching has known about Nagy’s role as owner. Nagy told ESS that the players’ reaction was good.

“Everyone supported me. On the ice and in the booth, I’m just one player among others. We originally agreed that I would just focus on playing, but now I have to take on more of a role. I didn’t want to highlight my position as an owner, because I wanted to prove that I belonged here as a player,” he said.

You play ended up on the protest list at the beginning of December. The tax administration has receivables from the club for 19,305 euros.

“I believe in this club and there are many other people here who want to keep the dream alive and Peliitat Mestis. I don’t want to say anything yet other than that money is coming and January 9 is the general meeting where the board will be formed,” Nagy told ESS.

The simmering feud in the game casts a shadow over the club’s future. At the same time, the peculiar financing pattern also raises questions about the granting of Mestis licenses.

Ice Hockey Federation Licensing Committee admitted in May, licenses for all clubs that played in Mest in the previous season. It was already known at that time that the financial situation of Savonlinna’s Pallokerho was in trouble, but it also received a license normally.

SaPKo went bankrupt in June.
