At the same time, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu visited Moscow’s forces stationed at the front in Ukraine. In a statement released to Telegram, the Ministry of Defense said that Shoigu “flew around the areas of deployment of forces and inspected the advanced positions of Russian units in the area of the special military operation.” He added that he “spoke with soldiers at the front” and at the “command post”.

The attempt to raise morale comes while British intelligence reported that the low morale among the Russians continues to be a “significant blow to a large part of Moscow’s army.” We also noted that the new creative division is consistent with the historical use of “military music and organized entertainment” to boost morale.

According to the report on the Russian network RBC, the brigade will consist of soldiers recruited under the mass recruitment campaign led by the president Vladimir Putin, as well as “professional artists who voluntarily entered military service”. It was also stated that the new unit will be tasked with maintaining a “high moral, political and psychological state among the participants of the special military operation”.
