Al Kass TV photographer Khalid al Misslam died Saturday, per the local outlet Gulf Times, with the circumstances of his death unknown.

"Al-Misslam, a Qatari, died suddenly while covering the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. We believe in Allah's mercy and forgiveness for him, and send our deepest condolences to his family," the Gulf Times tweeted.

Al Misslam is the second journalist to die at the 2022 World Cup, with Wahl's sudden death on Friday being the first of the soccer tournament. Wahl had been vocal about Qatar's human rights abuses and was harassed by officials for wearing a rainbow shirt in support of the LGBT community to a match between the United States and Wales.

Wahl's brother believes there is foul play involved in his sudden passing, saying that his brother was healthy, although Wahl was believed to have had bronchitis the day before his untimely death.

The State Department has said it is working with Qatari officials to get Wahl's body back to the U.S.
