President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev announced that all conditions have been created for the signing of a peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan.

“At the meetings held in Prague and Sochi in October of this year, Armenia officially recognized the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country. I think that after that all the conditions were created for the signing of the peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the peace treaty can be signed on the basis of the five well-known principles proposed by Azerbaijan,” said Aliyev.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan spoke about peace in his New Year’s address, saying: “We don’t lay eyes on other people’s land and we expect others not to lay eyes on our land either, and with this resolution we are ready to go to peace.”

And at the previous government meeting, he announced that there are all signs to claim that Azerbaijan is preparing another military provocation, including in Nagorno Karabakh. At the same time, he reaffirmed Armenia’s willingness and determination to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, complete border delimitation, and open regional communications.

In his speech, Ilham Aliyev also stated that the so-called “Zangezur Corridor” will definitely be open, regardless of whether “Armenia wants it or not.”

Armenia has announced at the highest level that it is not going to provide any corridor to Azerbaijan.
