Martinique international Jean-Manuel Nedra (29) was arrested at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris. The professional is said to have had over 100 kilos of cocaine in his suitcase. This was confirmed by the public prosecutor’s office in Bobigny, reports the French newspaper “ The Parisian“.

Nedra made his debut in the national team from the Caribbean island of Martinique in 2012. Among other things, he was in action in 2017 at the Gold Cup, where the countries of North and Central America and the Caribbean play their champions. At the time of his arrest, the player is said to have been traveling privately.

A former soccer star was also arrested last December for cocaine smuggling. Dusan Petkovic (48) was caught in Amsterdam with 115 kilos of cocaine.

The Dutch prosecutor’s office said that Europol, in cooperation with the Serbian police, was able to bust a large drug ring. Eight people were arrested, including Petkovic, according to the Serbian newspaper Blic.

Petkovic is currently the sporting director at Serbian club OFK Belgrade.
