The EU’s overseas coverage chief on Monday warned China in opposition to offering Russia weapons for its battle on Ukraine, after Beijing slammed US claims it might make the transfer.

Josep Borrell mentioned he advised China’s prime diplomat Wang Yi that “for us, it could be a purple line in our relationship. He advised me that they don’t seem to be going to do it, that they do not plan to do it. However we are going to stay vigilant.”
