Pakistan on Wednesday refuted UK’s residence secretary Suella Braverman’s allegations that British-Pakistani males are a part of grooming gangs that “pursue, drug, rape, and hurt susceptible English ladies”, calling them as “discriminatory” and “xenophobic.”

Islamabad’s overseas workplace (FO) spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated that she painted a “extremely deceptive image, signalling the intent to focus on and deal with British Pakistanis in a different way”.

“She (Braverman) fails to pay attention to the systemic racism and ghettoisation of communities and omits to recognise the large cultural, financial, and political contributions that British-Pakistanis proceed to make in British society,” Baloch was quoted as saying by information company PTI.

Braverman reportedly informed Sky News in an interview final week that teams of males, virtually all British Pakistanis, are concerned within the sexual abuse of kids and younger ladies.

“What’s clear is that what we have seen is a apply whereby susceptible White English ladies, typically in care, typically in difficult circumstances, are being pursued and raped, drugged, and harmed by gangs of British-Pakistani males who work in baby abuse rings or networks,” she stated.

She additional stated the authorities have turned a “blind eye to those indicators of abuse out of political correctness, out of concern, of being referred to as racists, out of concern, of being referred to as bigoted”.

“We have seen establishments, social staff, state companies, cops, and social staff flip a blind eye to this-out of political correctness and out of concern of being referred to as racist.
