The US Navy mentioned its guided-missile destroyer the USS Milius had sailed by the Taiwan Strait in a “freedom of navigation” operation carried out days after China staged huge struggle video games across the island.

The warship “performed a routine Taiwan Strait transit” on Sunday, the Navy’s seventh Fleet mentioned in an announcement, “by waters the place high-seas freedoms of navigation and overflight apply in accordance with worldwide regulation”.
