DC mayor's business inquiry finds previous main of team sexually harassed second lady

The former main of employees to Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser sexually harassed a female a number of situations in 2020, according to an inside report.

The Mayor's Workplace of Lawful Counsel stated it substantiated two allegations produced in opposition to John Falcicchio, the former main of workers and deputy mayor to Bowser, in a report introduced on Monday. Falcicchio resigned from his position in March after serving as a near adviser to the mayor for numerous several years. The report information four allegations but only substantiates two of them.

The initial substantiated assert is that Falcicchio allegedly "manufactured unwelcome, bodily, sexual improvements" toward a lady in his apartment in 4 individual incidents in 2020. The report statements that the unnamed female was at his condominium "at his route for do the job-similar explanations." A fifth incident where there was an "undesirable sexual advance" at a separate locale was pointed out.

The other substantiated assert is that in 2020, Falcicchio allegedly sent the nameless woman employee "flirtatious messages and requested her personalized queries about her intimate life to manipulate her into emotion snug with him."

The report concludes Falcicchio's actions "more likely than not constituted sexual harassment as described" and violated the plan of the D.C. mayor's office.

"At the summary of the investigation, the SHO produced recommendations to the Mayor based on her conclusions. These recommendations targeted on enhancing the District’s procedures and procedures to assure the District normally takes proactive ways to stop sexual harassment and to inspire reporting so that future challenges could be resolved in a well timed and proper way," the report concluded.

A report from the similar place of work in June substantiated two statements of sexual harassment by Falcicchio from a further female staff of the D.C. federal government.
