A new 30-next television ad produced by a political committee supporting Republican Pennsylvania Senate applicant Dr. Mehmet Oz blasts his Democrat opponent, John Fetterman, more than a 2013 incident when he pulled a gun on a Black jogger he mistakenly suspected of a crime. 

The ad, titled "Chase," was launched by American Management Action and says Fetterman, then mayor of Braddock, "chased down an harmless, unarmed Black person." The advert then jumps to an interview with the jogger, Cristopher Miyares, where by he describes Fetterman pulling a gun and aiming it at his chest. 

"I imply, there is a mayor with a shotgun and six other cops bordering me. What else could I do but this?" the jogger suggests in the ad as he places his palms up in surrender.  

Fetterman then claims in an interview he believes he did "the correct matter" although declaring he almost certainly broke the legislation in executing so.

The advert closes by calling Fetterman "reckless, dangerous" and "wrong for Pennsylvania." 

"We know John Fetterman hates to reply tricky concerns and refuses to discussion. He needs to answer for what he did and he really should lastly apologize for it," Brittany Yanick, Communications Director for the Oz Marketing campaign, told WHD News Electronic through an e-mail assertion.

Miyares is now in a state prison in Somerset County for an unrelated criminal offense and says Fetterman has "lied about anything" that happened that working day, in accordance to the Philadelphia Inquirer. However, Miyares was clear in his aid for Fetterman's Senate bid, crafting "I hope he gets to be a Senator."

The advertisement comes on the heels of a modern editorial launched by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette exactly where the paper's editorial board inquiries Fetterman's ability to serve in the Senate presented his incapacity to discussion Oz immediately after suffering a stroke in May possibly.
